Reason for the coming of Supreme God into the world

Prannath Leelaamrit - Chapter 1

The Supreme God, Shri Raj, is basically seated in the non-dual realm of the supreme abode. On one hand, He plays divine love with His blissful form, Shyama, and the divine souls. On the other hand, His authoritative form, Akshar Brahma, plays like a child by creating and destroying mortal universes.

Since time immemorial, there has been an ongoing discussion in the supreme abode between Shri Raj, Shyama, and the souls about whose love is greater. Each claimed their love was superior, yet they could never reach a conclusion. This debate about love was the primary reason for their descent into the world. Shri Raj wanted to resolve this controversy by bringing Shyama and the souls to Earth.

Akshar Brahma came every day to catch a glimpse of Shri Raj. However, he knew nothing about Shyama and the souls, nor did he understand the divine play of love.

One day, when Akshar Brahma came to see Shri Raj, he looked at Shyama and her companions at Shri Raj's command. Thus, Shyama and the other souls also saw Akshar Brahma for the first time. Shri Raj explained that Akshar Brahma orchestrates the play of suffering.

Following the incident, Akshar Brahma desired to witness Shri Raj's loving pastimes. Shyama and her companions also desired to witness Akshar Brahma's play. Their desire to observe each other's divine activities resulted in their manifestation in this world.

To fulfill the desires of both, Shri Raj created three universes. Three types of divine plays took place in these universes. The first was the Braj Leela, or the childhood pastime. The second was the Raas Leela, or the loving pastime of adolescence. The third was the Jagni Leela, or the wisdom-filled pastime of old age.

The Jagni Leela is described here.
