Second experience of Supreme God during meditation

Prannath Leelaamrit - Chapter 11

Devchandra served and meditated on his beloved Lord. One day, during meditation, he had a vision of a divine scene.

He felt as if he were standing in front of Nand's house in Braj. There, Yashoda sat on a stool boiling milk.

When Yashoda saw Devchandra, she happily said, "Come, Devchandra. Have your meal."

Devchandra asked, "Where is Krishna? I want to see him."

Yashoda replied, "He has gone to the forest to play."

Devchandra said, "My heart is at his feet. I want to go there."

Yashoda then brought some sweets from the house and gave them to Devchandra. She said, "Eat these with him when you get there."

Devchandra went toward the forest. Some boys were playing there, so he asked them, "Where is Krishna?"

They replied, "There's a boy named Krishna in every neighborhood here. Which one are you asking about?"

Devchandra replied, "Nand's son."

The children replied, "There are many Krishnas here whose fathers are named Nand. Which one are you asking about?"

Devchandra replied, "Yashoda's son."

At that moment, Lord Krishna saw Devchandra and called him over, seating him beside him. Then, with great affection, Krishna began speaking to him in sweet words.

At that time, the children were preparing ghunghri, a sweet dish made from wheat grains, for their meal. Devchandra placed the sweets he had brought from Yashoda in front of Krishna.

Lord Krishna said to the children, "Give me two portions of each item and divide the rest among yourselves."

As Devchandra began eating the food placed before him, he touched the ground and lost his concentration.

After his meditation was interrupted, Devchandra reflected deeply and decided that the form before him was indeed his beloved God. He enshrined that form in his heart. He began offering his devotion to that form with complete faith.

Devchandra spent several years in Bhojnagar in this way, engaged in service and meditation.
