Meeting of the two spiritual figures
Prannath Leelaamrit - Chapter 20
Meheraj's elder sister-in-law was Meghbai, and Gaangji's daughter-in-law was Ajbai. Since Meghbai was Ajbai's paternal aunt, Ajbai often visited her.
Ajbai told Meghbai about the miraculous events happening in her home. She would regularly share these stories with Meghbai and invite her to witness the miracles herself.
Then, Meghbai asked her brother-in-law Govardhan to find out the truth. He sent his wife, Padmaa, to Gaangji's house.
First, Padmaa went to see Devchandra. She returned and recounted the miraculous events she had witnessed there. After hearing her account, Govardhan went there himself. As soon as Devchandra saw Govardhan, he recognized that he was possessed by Gunwanti's divine soul.
Govardhan surrendered himself completely at the feet of his sadguru, Devchandra. After having divine vision of Shri Raj, his devotion grew stronger, and he started talking about it at home.
Upon hearing Govardhan's words, Meheraj developed a strong desire to see Devchandra. He asked Govardhan to take him there, but Govardhan refused, saying that he could not do so without his sadguru's permission. Five days passed this way.
On the sixth day, Meheraj followed Govardhan closely to meet Devchandra. Govardhan tried to stop him, but he continued to follow, weeping.
When they reached their destination, Govardhan asked Devchandra, "My younger brother has wanted to see you for several days. Today, he followed me here, weeping. If you permit, may I bring him inside?"
Devchandra granted permission, saying, "If one receives knowledge in childhood, the goal is easily attained. Dhruv attained the feet of Lord Vishnu at the age of five. Therefore, bring Meheraj inside."
Then, Govardhan took Meheraj inside with him. When Meheraj bowed at Devchandra's feet, Devchandra placed his hand on Meheraj's head. At that moment, Devchandra bestowed enlightened wisdom upon Meheraj.
This divine encounter occurred on the ninth day of the month of Margsheersh in 1687 V.S. (1630 A.D.). Meheraj was 12 years, 2 months, and 10 days old at that time. Devchandra recognized the soul of Indraavati from the Supreme Abode within him.
