Mantra for protection from poison

One day, some people brought a man who had been stung by a scorpion to Haridas. The poison had almost rendered his body lifeless. Devchandra was also present.
Haridas recited a mantra and stroked his mustache. The man felt some relief. As soon as Haridas stroked his mustache a second time, the man stood up. After Haridas recited the mantra and stroked his mustache a third time, the man was completely cured of the poison and restored to health. Everyone thanked Haridas.
After those people left, Haridas told Devchandra, "This mantra is very powerful. You should learn it. If they had been even twenty minutes late bringing this person here, it would not have been possible to save his life. This mantra helps us do good for others."
Then Devchandra said, "I keep the mantra you gave me earlier in my heart. It protects me from the suffering of a million scorpion stings at the time of birth and death and grants divine bliss. Now, how can this worldly mantra find a place in a heart where such a divine mantra resides?"
Haridas was pleased with this answer and began praising Devchandra, "O Devchandra! I do not possess the extraordinary intelligence you have. The thought you expressed never crossed my mind."
In this way, many divine acts were performed through Devchandra in Bhojnagar.
